Just for Fun!

Adam and I have had many talks lately about what we think Stella may look like AND when she's going to make her big debut!!  So "just for fun" we used the tool on The Bump to morph our images into a baby girl and here it is....

Haha!!  This is hilarious:)  We know she will have blue eyes (bc we both have blue eyes--recessive gene) so already the morphed pic is off.  But I wonder who she gets that receding hairline from haha!!

We're thinking of starting a little bet about Stella's birthday.  Not many people have commented on when they think she may arrive but I thought it might be fun to put a little money on it!! (maybe just family-everyone else can be just for fun!)  Anyways, when do you think she will debut?  Remember, due date is 3/31--will she be early or late??

Adam's Birthday

We actually celebrated Adam's birthday multiple times:)  I love birthdays!!  We had decided that this year we weren't going to get each other gifts for our birthdays because we needed to save money AND the bigger reason--because we had purchased the new iPhone 4s in the fall.  Adam of course held up on his end of the deal (but went all out on me for Christmas) So I decided I couldn't resist buying him a little something for his birthday/v-day!
We first celebrated the weekend before his birthday with my family.  We were in Owensboro for the weekend for our baby shower and thought it would be the perfect opportunity.  Plus, I needed to give Adam his gift early:)
Tickets to the UK vs Florida Men's Basketball Game!!

Then on Tuesday, we spent our night cheering on the C-A-T-S at Rupp Arena!  I had forgotten how much fun it was to see a game in person--the atmosphere itself was worth the price:)  And we had pretty good tickets-thank you Craigslist hehe!  Unfortunately (wink wink) I couldn't fit into any of my UK gear, so I had an excuse to buy a new shirt.  This one read "Future Wildcat" with an arrow pointing to my belly!
Happy Birthday!
On Adam's actual birthday, we spent the day together.  We started off with breakfast at home.  Then we ran a bunch of errands (probably not fun for Adam but needed to be done).  We ate dinner at Mellow Mushroom with Dustin and Suzanne.  Afterwards we met up with Daniel and Emma for drinks at Harrys and cheered on the CATS again! Suzanne ordered the chocolate cake and WOW we didn't realize it would feed us all haha!!  The next day we met up with Adam's family for dinner.  Made for a fun and exciting week of celebration!

30 week Doctor Appointment and More...

I'm just a little behind in my blogging:(  Adam's been out of town--in Seattle for work and I thought I would have ALL this time to get caught up on all my "fun" stuff or just be plain lazy.  Boy, was I in for a rude awakening!!  I've been SO busy-which is somewhat of a blessing I guess Ha:)

Adam and I had been attending a child birthing class (which I highly recommend--I think it was more informative for him than me!)  It was fun to be in a room with other people due around the same time as us.  We attended the "Birthing the Natural Way" course--no judgments please!!  I'm still undecided about our "birth plan" but thought it best to attend this course to be better prepared and educated.  Sometimes I think  Heck yeah I can do this and then other times I think I have NOTHING to prove! Ha.  Basically I'll see how I feel the day Stella decides she's ready to enter this world!  The funny thing is that in the class they tell the support person (Adam) to not give into me if I request an epidural, but Adam quickly said he'll give me whatever I want!!

Anyways, Adam was able to attend 2 of the 3 classes but was out of town for the last one.  I didn't want to go by myself so my Mom came for a visit!  It was a short little visit because I had to work, but she came up for the class Monday night and then Tuesday morning I had a doctors appointment.  I know she would have liked to have seen Stella via ultrasound, but it was just a routine visit-no pics.  I was so happy to share this with her!  Plus, my Dad came with her and they were able to see the nursery.  They were amazed at how much Stella (my bump) had grown since they saw me at Christmas--even though they get pictures via text periodically!  I know Stella enjoyed her visit from Grandmoma and Granddaddy:)

My doctors visit went great as usual.  Again, my weight is right on target.  My BP was 92/62 (awesome!)  and Stella's heartbeat was steady at 150bpm.    I found out I passed my glucose test with flying colors.  They like for your blood glucose to be below 140 and mine was 96!!  Yay me:)  Bad news I'm Rh negative so I had to get the dreaded Rhogam shot.  Depending on Stella's Rh blood type at birth, I may need another injection.  Now we start our 2 week visits--whoa!!
