I'm just a little behind in my blogging:( Adam's been out of town--in Seattle for work and I thought I would have ALL this time to get caught up on all my "fun" stuff or just be plain lazy. Boy, was I in for a rude awakening!! I've been SO busy-which is somewhat of a blessing I guess Ha:)
Adam and I had been attending a child birthing class (which I highly recommend--I think it was more informative for him than me!) It was fun to be in a room with other people due around the same time as us. We attended the "Birthing the Natural Way" course--no judgments please!! I'm still undecided about our "birth plan" but thought it best to attend this course to be better prepared and educated. Sometimes I think Heck yeah I can do this and then other times I think I have NOTHING to prove! Ha. Basically I'll see how I feel the day Stella decides she's ready to enter this world! The funny thing is that in the class they tell the support person (Adam) to not give into me if I request an epidural, but Adam quickly said he'll give me whatever I want!!
Anyways, Adam was able to attend 2 of the 3 classes but was out of town for the last one. I didn't want to go by myself so my Mom came for a visit! It was a short little visit because I had to work, but she came up for the class Monday night and then Tuesday morning I had a doctors appointment. I know she would have liked to have seen Stella via ultrasound, but it was just a routine visit-no pics. I was so happy to share this with her! Plus, my Dad came with her and they were able to see the nursery. They were amazed at how much Stella (my bump) had grown since they saw me at Christmas--even though they get pictures via text periodically! I know Stella enjoyed her visit from Grandmoma and Granddaddy:)
My doctors visit went great as usual. Again, my weight is right on target. My BP was 92/62 (awesome!) and Stella's heartbeat was steady at 150bpm. I found out I passed my glucose test with flying colors. They like for your blood glucose to be below 140 and mine was 96!! Yay me:) Bad news I'm Rh negative so I had to get the dreaded Rhogam shot. Depending on Stella's Rh blood type at birth, I may need another injection. Now we start our 2 week visits--whoa!!
yay for 2 week visits! I am so excited for your shower! I hope you have been getting lots of showers filled with love! This is such an exciting time! Seeing Mary's bump each day I actually miss Harper being in my belly! Never thought I would say that! :)
ReplyDeleteI am rh negative too and didn't end up having to have the second shot after I had walker because his blood type was the same as mine so hopefully you will just have one! I think if you can go au natural to for it! I was a whimp and wanted mess as soon as I felt pain lol! But having a plan might make it easier to resist the meds! I can't wait to see you soon!
